That was the impetus for the project, it's hard to see but in the last picture there is a vine draped over it already.  Back in September I discovered 4 or 5 huge vines of conchord grapes growing on the trees in my back yard.  I'll be building one more trellis, and a 30x10 pergola to accommodate the others.  I'll keep this thread updated with my progress.

This is pictures of about half of what we harvested this year, there was quite a bit that was suspender 60 feet up in the tRees that we just couldn't reach.  I'm hoping with proper pruning and good sun exposure, aided by my trellises, I can increase the crop.

Nice job OP!

I have thought about doing an overhead myself, but I wasn't sure all the clusters would drop through.

I envisioned happy birds lighting on top, eating away, pooping on everything (and the poop of course would drop through).

Can anyone who has built an overhead grape trellis comment?

I would like to build one by bending long tubing in an arc, setting both ends in the ground, stretching chain link over it, and forming a tunnel.
