A simple "Which do I need?" Trying to place an order and I can't get anyone on the phone. My options are...
Off-(On) Off-On One is momentary and one is maintained. I need the maintained one. Which is it? |
|
Quoted:
Momentary switch changes state (makes or breaks the connection) for only a short time. If you want one that changes state and stays that way (for example, to turn on a light and leave it on), you do not want a momentary switch. I know all that. I'm just not sure out of the options listed which is which. |

Then click the configuration tab and you'll see the options under function. I need the single pole maintained function. |

So you're asking,
do the parentheses around the word "on" mean it's a momentary switch, or a normal switch? Wow, that link made my head hurt. It looks to me like the Y Function gives you BOTH momentary and constant, depending on teh postion of the switch. I don't see a single pole option. |

Another look, and I think this is how it goes. The one at the top of the function column, when you push it, one thing momentarily comes on, and another thing momentarily goes off, until you release the button. The next on down, Function T, when you push it, one thing comes on, and another thing goes off, until you push the button again. Well crap, now I see your dilema. Am I right or do I have it backwards. |

Parentheses is momentary. According to http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Switch
