I'm setting up my new Ridgid R4512 table saw, and there is a set-screw sticking up slightly about the table. One on the right can screw down all the way, and actually has nothing beneath it. I could screw is all the way through if I wanted. The one one the left is just above table height, and seems to be hitting the main trunnion or something below. Right one is about an inch long, left one about 3/4". What are these for? I have no idea, and a lot of saws don't seem to have them. Any reason that I shouldn't grind 1/8" off of the left one, or just leave them out altogether? |

I have the manual, but didn't see anything in there. The parts are on the exploded diagram, but that doesn't explain what they do. Limiting the travel for angles makes sense. That main trunnion doesn't go up and down, but I haven't adjusted the angle yet. I will be aligning the blade tomorrow. Thanks! That's helpful. |

The right hand screw sets max bevel to 45 degrees. The left screw sets the 0 degree limit. RTFM! |
