My tale of woe begins here -
http://mvfullstep.com/Page10.html The fly-bridge sat for three years on the ground. The stupid (me) painted the unrepaired parts of the fly-bridge without killing the mold. It has since grown back right thru the paint turning every surface black. I have spent the last week in a Tyvek suit, 3M respirator, and eye protection, crawling around the underside of the fly-bridge killing the mold. My question is do any of the mold inhibitors you can add to paint actually work? I don’t think I can do this again. Thanks for any advice. Mike |

Sounds nasty.
You might have to remove the paint to remove, and kill the mold/mildew. I would ask a professional in the boatyard. Then treat the surface with the proper sealer and repaint the surfaces. You really want to do this right in case you also end up having a spore issue later on . |
