I'm planning on slowly building a home theater system. My current klipsch promedia 2.1's sound great for what they are, but I find myself wanted more (especially after watching a movie at my brothers with his very nice B&W system). Unfortunatly, I don't have anywhere near the budget of my brother, but still want great sound. He recommended getting some PSB Alpha line of speakers, and slowly piecing the system together.

Does anyone here have speakers from PSB, specifically their Alpha line of speakers? Do you like them?

Thanks.

Only you can determine if a set of speakers is right for you.  Every person hears slightly different from everyone else.  What sounds "crisp" to you may sound "harsh" to me.  What sounds "mellow" to you may sound "dull" to me.  I know those are subjective terms but listening is subjective.  PSB has a good rep but go listen to as many different speakers as possible.

If you don't have that ability due to location or time, then take a chance on internet direct speakers that offer a good return policy.  Both SVS and Elemental Designs have grown from subs only to full systems.  They not only get very good reviews, their customer service is outstanding.

Cool. Thanks for the input, I'll have to find a day off to drive up to SLC ( ) to test out a bunch of different brands.
