I have yet to see this movie all the way through, but I keep catching portions of it on TV. This is one of those movies that constantly has you thinking, "What in the hell are these main characters thinking...". It's like they never make a single good decision until the last 60 seconds of the movie when Sophia Bush puts Sean Bean down.

I suppose if they'd have made a good decision it would have been a short movie though. That's the case with a whole lot of these stalker/single killer type movies. Still, I kind of like watching this one because of the...'scenery'.

One thing that really gets to me with these types of movies is when they manage to boot an obsessive bad guy from a moving vehicle, and they race away as fast as they can. Rarely do they go back and hit him again, or call for help while keeping an eye on him, or anything sensible. Instead they leave the psychos out in the middle of nowhere, so they can have to look over their shoulder for the rest of their lives...

Alright, I'm done.

I refuse to watch it. The original used to come on HBO all the time when I was a kid.

It was good. Sean Bean is EXCELLENT.

I've always assumed the reason one of my friends freaked out when he found out I'd brought a 1911 on a roadtrip was because he never saw The Hitcher.

Yep, I like Sean Bean. Of the movies I've seen, his role in Goldeneye is my favorite.

The original with Rutger Hauer was much better IMHO.
