Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT THIS MOVIE.  Once you figure out what the movie is about, you'll simply say to yourself "Are you fucking kidding??".  Wasted $5 on a BluRay copy tonight, and I want my 2 hours back.  You have been warned.

Took my kids and some of their friends to see it in the theater. Friends payed their own way thank goodness, but I still bought the popcorn and drinks. Very costly mistake. Even the youngest step-daughter at the age of 11 thought it sucked.

Holy hell, there was a book??  The only, and I mean ONLY redeeming quality of this movie was the naked blonde in the beginning (and you don't even get that in the book).

We watched it last night.  We didn't think it was terrible, but there were definitely moments that were pointless (tent-job...).  It had me cringe a few times, but that's how I am when I see a hole being yoked out with a knife.

It would have been fine if crazy ancient Mayans were chasing them, or wild Mexicans, or even little blue aliens.  But plants??  Plant's that talk and make noises??

I agree.  I bought the book in Ohare when I was stuck there a few months ago.  That book is just retarded.  I cannot believe it made it into a movie

Was it gory? My wife does not like gory movies. The movie is sitting on my desk. Too bad I didn't read this thread before it got to the top of my netlfix queue.

Yes, it is very gory.  You're better off renting a porn and calling it a night.

Alright, I'll send it back without watching it.

No, watch it until you see the blonde chick naked.  Then, return it...

Ugh!  My wife read the book and convinced me to read it without telling me how bad it was.  I think she was mad she read it so she wanted someone else to suffer along with her.  I almost want to watch the movie to see which one is worse.  Anybody read the book and seen the movie care to say which one sucked balls more?

I read the book and all I could think of was that I was glad when they all died. And why did it take so long? Why didn't the German bug out when he had the chance? Miniscule though it might be. When I heard it was going to become a movie I laughed. The whole killer plant thing is only amusing in Little Shop of Horrors.
