Probably about $65.

It's 1s and 0s. Either they get there or not. Monster is almost always a rip, which is why the plastic-shoe wearing AV MFs try to pimp it on you.

Last one for me was the Monster HDMI. The sales pimp (actually pimps give value for money) would only show use where the Monster overpriced cables were. We finally found a generic HDMI cable for $12, which worked fine. He still thought he was going to get a commission on the DVD player, but instead he got a written complaint, and no commission.

monoprice.com.

The local CCity wanted $55 for a fiber optic toslink.

I went on monoprice and had a better made cable in two days for $10.00 including shipping.

There IS a point at which some cables make a difference,  but that's with cables carrying an ANALOG signal.   And if you don't have at least a very good set of speakers or excellent display, you won't see or hear the difference anyway.

With digital cables, the odds of there actually being a difference in performance are pretty
remote.    A really bad cable may have performance problems,  but bits is bits, and as long
as they arrive on time,  and with adequate signal strength, the information will get through.
