I'll agree on these. I think Bruce will do a good job, and age won't play a factor (much). The Fantastic Four Trailer on apple.com in HD looks AWESOME. the Surfer's effects look great. As for Rambo, the wife read in her garbage Entertainment magazines that the current word from Stallone on this is it "May not happen after all.". I can't see him really doing this part well, he's a bit too old, and from the looks of him in Rocky MCXLVIII that was released over Christmas, he's pretty "bulky". eta: IMDB says Rambo is "PreProduction" and tentative for 2008, but until they go into "In Production" everything is just guessing. www.imdb.com/title/tt0462499/ |
Not kidding... I don't know how they managed to scrape that digital F/X technology together for this movie. It's only been around since 1991 when it was the T-1000. It does look cool though. I like the Human Torch effects more than the surfer. |
Alien vs. Predator: AVP2
Just watched a "sneak preview" thing... which didn't show dick from the movie but the directors said, unlike AVP, it'll be rated R. That's definitely a good start. They talk about going back to the roots of the original movies and gearing it more as a horror movie than an action movie. The plot sounds a little weak. I'd still rather it take place on some other planet. It'd be interesting to see if they could pull of a movie that doesn't have any humans in it. Obviously there'd be no dialogue... so maybe have it narrated by someone with a strong voice... like March of the Penguins. Or maybe not. |
