Good movie. I'd say "Hero" was better overall, but this one had an ending that wasn't quite expected, and still decent. Jet Li's father won't teach him Wushu, so he learns it on his own in secret, and after seeing his dad 'lose' a match, vows to never be defeated. There's a lot of moral questioning that gets involved with his life, which I wish could have been explored a tiny bit more. The fights are well-done, and there's still some of the wirework that gets done, though less than say "Crouching Tiger". Worth seeing. |
