My wife hates the movie, I like it. What's the hive's opinion?

Even the 4-hour cut sailed by effortlessly. Forget the politics, it's a masterful effort in storytelling and cinematography by a first-time director. Then again, I'm a sucker for anything with wolves in it.

I think it's a wonderful movie and I really don't like Kevin Costner (bodygaurd, <shudder>), although in western's he's pretty good.

It's well told, beautifully filmed, and you just feel a part of it.

A great movie on telling the man to stick it.

Are you guys fracken serious? Everytime I watch it, I want more. It is in no way slow. Maybe if you are 12 and have ADHD.

It is not just slow... it is geologically slow.

I like long movies with slow deep character development… If Dances with Wolves did that it would be fine but 1/3 of Dances with Wolves is a hollow shell filled with pretty pictures instead.

Pretty pictures of South Dakota. LMKAO! Recent transplant here and went to that side and found out some if not all was filmed on the rolling prairies...

Im 50/50 on it
I enjoyed it but will probably never watch it again

then again i think I am about the only person on earth that likes The Postman

I hated Waterworld though

+1 on The Postman. Also liked The Untouchables, Revenge, A Perfect World, Wyatt Earp, 3000 Miles to Graceland and Open Range.

+1 on Waterworld. Also hated The Bodyguard, Tin Cup, For Love of the Game and Dragonfly.

All the rest are ... meh.

I enjoyed it, though I enjoy watching kevin Costner Westerns, He ain't the Duke nor Eastwood, but he is alright,

though the bodyguard was definately 2 hours of my life I want back

I agree. I couldn't vote as none of the selections fit. If I had to watch it a second time, it would move from OK to "it sucked". It's one of those movies which I would "watch" with my wife whilst catching up on 4 months of ShotGun News.

Yes, unfortunately it's a stop down every time I see it on the dish.

I knew a dude I used to work with that had a little shop in the local farmers market. He made stone knives and spears and did bead and feather work. Lots of Indian art type things. He said every time the movie was on cable or the dish his sales increased two fold.

Never saw it, never will. Mrs. Colt_SBR and I got it at Blockbuster. We started to watch it and she started crying. I turned it off and never watched it.

It's a good movie. But it's designed to make you hate white people.
