I can't honestly say I watching this movie from beginning to end.... not only because it was filmed from end to beginning but because the dizzying camerawork, French language (w/ English subs), bizarre backwards credits, strange music, etc. but because I more or less just wanted to see Monica Bellucci naked. I basically just wanted to see what all the fuss was about since I have been hearing from various members that this movie was pretty intense. Well, I could barely watch it so I just skippped to the main scenes... the rape and the revenge... and holy crapp.... pretty damned brutal in both scenes... especially the revenge scene in the club. I wouldn't really recommend this movie to anyone unless you just want to see Monica Bellucci naked, which itself is almost worth it except that she's not really doing anything majorly sexy, jus being naked more or less. But still.... since I think she's one of the hottest damned actresses out there it was cool to see. Everything leading up to the two key scenes in this movie was just annoying, nauseating, etc. I can't believe it won awards because the filming/camera work alone was just ridiculously unwatchable. Anywho... take it for what it's worth. Suck movie... nice nudity, disturbing key scenes... |
