Sat down and watched it this weekend with a bunch of friends.  Mostly former .mil types.

Great movie, initially kind of concerned about Jim from The Office and the brother from Malcolm as the 2 leads but I think they nailed it!

M4 pron!  The gun-handling looked realistic and well done, a good job!

And they did sneak in one reference to the "spontaneous" demonstration lie from Susan Rice but mostly stayed away from political commentary.  For that film, I think it was a good choice to focus on the "truth on the ground" instead of the spin.

Just say it this weekend also.  I thought they did a good job with it and it was a good movie overall.  A lot of action.

Some things that I loved about that movie were the muzzle flash/sparks from one of the Technicals and the tracers from the rooftop.  Very realistic, they really went the extra mile

Can anyone point me in the direction of more of the specifics about the event and location?

I'm specifically curious about the area they called zombieland. They said it was a slaughter house, but in the movie, it looked like old gutter connect greenhouses that had been abandoned. The plastic draped on them wasn't right. That looked more like dry cleaning plastic instead of the thicker 4 mil poly you'd find on greenhouses like that. It is possible that they'd be covered with a shade type material, maybe like cheesecloth, in a hot environment, but again, that wasn't what was on there on the movie.

So again, were they simply dressing up the existing site to make it look like a slaughter house, or were there actually old greenhouses next door?

Minor details, I know, but I'm a greenhouse guy, I'd like to know.

This gives you a basic map, and if you google Fourth Ring Road and find where it crosses Al Andalus, you can find the embassy with apparently is right next to a restaurant, but the features of the map are kind of clouded over, so you really can't see shit. My best guess is 32*3'26"N and 20*5'15"E .

I got a lot out of the special features that featured some behind the scenes commentary from some of the guys that were actually there.  Thought it was respectful to the fallen.

Outstanding movie........

Too bad it needed to be made in the first place!

Remember the Benghazi Four in November.

I want to watch the special features, but I don't have a Blu-ray player!

I thought it was a good movie and agree, it is sad it had to be made from an actual event. I thought Krasinski did a good job.

"I think he needs a new hat!"

Loved the movie but hate that it had to be made.  Especially with Hillary still lying about what she said to the families as their loved ones are lying in a coffin not far away.

Anybody else notice the immaculate, watered lawn at the diplo compound that couldn't afford more physical security?

That was kinda the point of their  reaction to the lack of security there.
