Just watched, so I thought I would give a review. Genre: Zombie/Rager. Localized infection caused by an industrial accident at a chemical weapons storage depot. Type: Human Drama. This isn't shoot'em up/ explosion/ Michael Bay. It is actually about people under stress. Pros: I like that the main characters (only 4), use their brains. They plan, map out sightings of infected around their haven, use tactics when necessary, and when pushed aren't afraid to make a hard, ruthless decision. The movie maintains continuity (i.e. a mistake made once isn't made again...especially involving a lock.). Bizarre behavior is later given an entirely believable explanation. Imagine Walking Dead if Rick Grimes had actually seen a zombie movie, wanted to live, and wasn't an idiot. It has some scares, but it isn't gratuitous. Cons: Look, it is a low budget film with no name actors. It showed. It will also be slow for the 'splosions,'splosions, more 'splosions crowd. If you can't watch, listen and pay attention, you will not enjoy this movie. It isn't Dawn of the Dead '04. In my opinion, it's worth a watch, but I wouldn't buy it as a DVD. Redbox, or Netflix only.
