Hello guys, will be getting a new TV tonight (to replace my tube TV )
Now, Im not getting the latest greatest biggest hugest TV out there....sorry, Im just not into spending that kind of money on a TV.....HOWEVER, I do want some advice.... Now, Im not much into Plasma TV's.....and have a 22" LCD which, I think is pretty good.... However after reading some reviews online, some guys say go with either a PLASMA or LED.....I would have sworn ive heard PLASMA is kind of outdated...and was GOING to go with LCD.... I will only be going with a 32 or 37" and I think it will only be 720p.....wont be getting HD tv, but will be getting a HD dvd player...... Is LCD really "not optimal"??? will i see a difference with an LED with 720p??? |

Why limit yourself to under 40"?
Do go to a store that has a decent set up of tv's playing side by side and compare one size against another at the viewing distance you will be at at home. That's the best way to tell how content you'll be down the road with a smaller size. Get the most bang for your buck. Pick a budget $$ and stick to it. I wouldn't get to worried about details as long as you personally are happy with one TV over another. Who else matters? For me under $600 usually the best picture at 6-8 feet viewing is a 50"+ Plasma check this out Sam's club $549 deal It pays to shop around. |
Thanks, well, I still live at home and this is mainly my parents decision ...Im just more technological savvy than they are....
Basically, my parents (mostly my mom) has a German made Hutch, and wants to keep the damn thing....and put the TV inside of it, and remove the windows....So we are limited to a 37"..... I told them, get rid of the stupid thing and put it on the wall or an entertainment center...."nooo this is real wooood and made in Germanyyyy" Trust me, if it were MY house, id be doing it differently

Is the 60Hz going to be a problem? 60Hz 120-240Hz.....From what I understand....the lower the number the more "Blurrier" the picture? EDIT: but if not this looks to be a perfect fit, but a well established company...Ive always been happy with Samsung products |
