| If you havent seen this movie, I highly recommend it...............set in the modern day, with Ralph Fennes as Coriolanus and Gerard Butler as Aufidius, it has a U.S. forces vs Eastern European troops feel.............lots of M-4 carbines, AKs and T-72 tanks. If you like Shakespeare, I think you will enjoy this version |

Not one of his best plays. I was in a post modern military themed version of it on stage back in 2001.
Actually, when I was acting in London in 1999, I saw Finnes in a production of this. He wasn't bad. The character wasn't likeable though. I met Tom Hanks and his wife at that show. He was producing BoB then. Wish he would of hired me for a role in that series. I would of retired with pride after that!!! Anyway, it would be interesting seeing this. Not many film.versions of this play are going to be made. |

Dont like Shakespeare? I'm not the biggest fan of it, but I though the movie was pretty damned good Quoted:
I hated this movie. that was a big part of it. I think they should have just redone the story in modern english. That and I didn't like the story. My wife liked it, just one of those movies that didn't sit well with me |
