Also just got back from seeing it. Not bad, but far from Pixar's best.
My boys,8&10, loved it. I was kinda impressed at the amount of gunplay in it, and not just by the bad guys. ETA: Quoted:
If you are a little boy between the ages of 6 and 10 you'll probably love this movie. My boys agree with your assessment. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I went to see a good kid flick, and instead saw two hours of animation preaching of the evil plan Big Oil has to keep fossil fuels from ever being used. I'm all for renewable, economical alternative energy sources. The movie spends the entire show with "Big Oil" being said so many times, and shown in the movie as the villain just looking to take down everyone even if a few folks die in the process. Instead of positive message for an alternative, the movie is all negative. |

Just got back from watching this flick. No where near as good as the original flick. Good, but not great. They really moved away from what made the original good, You can tell that from the trailer. I know, I guess I was hoping deep down that they had some positive message about finding yourself, making friends and influencing positive change in your communities. And as SHD said all it did was bash "big oil". I too, was surprised with the amount of gun play. Also, some cars die in this one. |

Lol, Before we went I went out and grabbed my little boy a car from the store so he could take it with him. He's 3, when we watch movies we try and make a big deal out of it, he gets to pick his candy and get soda (he never gest soda) and what not. Anyways, I see this blue challenger with plates that read "M1911A1." I think bad ass, cool looking car and it's plates rock. I have to say I was a little bummed about what happened to said car after he got about 3 minutes of screen time....Luckily my little boy was to busy eating his popcorn to notice what had happened to his toy car on screen. |

Ya, I liked that car too. I wish they made him tougher, and gave him a longer part to play. But you know hollywood, they wouldn't want people to think that Americans are tough. Just dumb hillbillies or arrogant, selfish, don't wanna get involved types. Was he a Challenger or a Mustang? I wasn't quite sure. |

I saw the movie on Friday night with my kids. It is a fun movie but it was more of a light adventure story than the original, which was more of a character based story. The story was more of a mix of Cars and The Incredibles, which makes sense as you can see Brad Bird's contribution to the story line. Good fun and at least it had enough "adult" jokes in it to make it bearable for the parents. |
