With George Clooney starring as an assassin. Has anyone seen it?

It depends on your mood and what movies you like. It's not a great movie - but if you're in the mood for a slow paced film with lots of pregnant pauses and immersion via quite scenes of exaggerated length, you'll find it someone artistically interesting. Think of Fargo - the scene where the guy is on the snow covered road burying the suit case of money, and then looks up and down the road. If you loved that scene, you'll find The American decent.
I doubt you'll find anyone who just loved it though. In the end, the story wasn't that compelling. Oh, and prepare to laugh your ass off when he build's the most ultimate sniper rifle ever - out of a Mini-14. |
