Watched this last night.
It's a French film (subtitled in english) about a French director attempting to capture and film women's sexual taboos and hang-ups. By American standards this movie would be considered soft-core porn. Which is probably reason enough for some of you to rent it, but it is more than just smut as there is just as much interesting and philosophical dialogue about sensuality, attraction etc, as there is nudity. The style and method the movie uses of portraying the women and the sensual scenes is done well and tasteful, and it applies to the story line. Meaining that the erotic scenes are not done brash men's locker room style, some of the most erotic scenes have absolutely no nudity in them at all. I highly recommend this movie for couples, as it would be an excellent catalyst for discussion about sensuality and desire, amongst other things. I do not recommend this movie to you if you are offended by nudity, or have sex in missionary position only while being fully clothed. |
