Anyone watch The Closer season premiere last night? Do they not have a firearms consultant or do the directors just not listen to them?
Guy gets shot on his balcony at 4 in the morning, and they automatically assume that the shooter MUST have used an M110, complete with suppressor and night vision. The biggest flaw in that theory being that the suppressed M110 wouldn't even be Cali legal...

Not quite sure someone shooting anyone "on his balcony" would be bothered about the Cali legality of a firearm... or were you being sarcastic..

I did think it was odd that that was the ONLY possibilty of a firearm capable of the shot... They claimed it had to be semiautomatic (How? If it's supressed several hundred yards away) and the target is an inebriated tired person not paying attention it could very well be a bolt-action.
Why not an AR-10? Why not ANY other .308? BAR? Why did it even have to be a .308? Why not an .30-06? Oh well. Atleast there was some fancy gun porn, and I did seem to not be too bothered by the whole "Gun mount"... Sorry, it's a bipod. BIPOD. |
