well i found this site and was thankful for the AR15 help! as i am a newbie to that platform. then tonight i find this section and now i am really excited! so for my first post. i ll keep it simple lol. i was raised christian but a year ago i really found Jesus! long story short. my wife of 5 years was raised catholic even though she doesnt practice it. anyway she doesnt want to hear anything i have to say about Jesus. she just wants to believe in her own way whatever it is she believes. she doesnt like to talk about it... now i dont want to bring it up cus i dont want to fight. any suggestions? everything i find out there for info talks about the "wife" trying to get the "husband" involved not the other way around. a little about her... her mother left her dad, her, older sis, and younger bro. when she was 10 or so. and that really hurt her and she still hasnt forgiven her mother for that. so i know that has something to do with her stubborn ness about the subject cus apparently when the mom left, the dad stoped bringing the kids to church... anyway i could go on forever. just thought i would throw this out there! thanks and God Bless.
oh and if anyone is looking for some good listening. check out Mark Driscoll on itunes or you tube. he tells it like it is and helped change my life by teaching me about Jesus. and on itunes everyone of his sermons is FREE!!! |

From what I gather you have already told her that you have placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ - His death, burial and resurrection - and received Him as Saviour.
Pray, pray, pray. Ask God to use you as He sees fit to lead her to a personal relationship with Jesus. Ask Him to make you the best husband you can be.... when she acknowledges that you are a good husband, give all the glory to God for making you a new creature when you trusted Christ. Prepare yourself for a long, hard road. Perhaps it won't be, but better to ready yourself for that possibility. |

Have faith and be patient. You cannot force Jesus as most of us know. Religion and traditions do not make Christians. I would recommend you look at some of Walter Veith's videos. He is a reformed Catholic that explains the hurtles very well. There are many. Good luck and as noted above do not doubt the power of prayer!!! Do not nag!!! |
