I have 0 experience with Photoshop so I am not sure what is easily do-able and what's not.
I would like to make the primer yellow, and the front bumper split ('70 1/2 Z/28 style) on either one/both of these pics..
Any help would be appreciated, the weather has turned cold and I have lost some motivation. I am hoping that seeing it will help.

Gtdhw, nice car brother, but you may have better luck posting this in the Photoshop forum. There are some very talented Photoshop guys over there.

Yep. California car until '96. It will eventually be black with old school flames. But, too much money invested in the motor build this fall to make that happen this winter. So, all yellow for now.

What do you mean 5K? A new cam is only $150!  Ya, right, it doesn't quite work that way does it. I spent twice as much as I budgeted, and three/four times what I predicted it would cost when I bought it as a roller. Oh well, I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think it was worth it. There is just something about an un-corked, barely streetabe, V8 that drives me nuts.

LOL..an old school flat tappet cam goes for $150-200. A roller cam and the assorted parts is a tad more..plus a new crank, porting, polishing, clutch, pressure plate,etc,etc,etc..

The good news is..she's putting out 387 horse at the crank.

Sweet! Ya, I kept mine simple with the flat tappet. I was/am on a very small budget so I had too. But, with 0 tuning, the best pass was 8.06/12.54 running on 87 octane. New aluminum heads, Air Gap intake, 94 octane, and a little tuning should have me real close to the 7.50 break. I hope...........Not too worried about it though, I have to drive it to the track and IMO (for the money spent) high 11's is very respectable for a 350 street car.

Very impressive numbers for a street driven car. What kind of oil are you using? I use Mobile 1 syn and the lack of zinc phosphate in it was what took the lobs off my cam. Storing it for 6 months of the year didn't help.

Apparently rotella is the only engine oil with zinc phosphate still in it.

I use Mobile 1 syn as well. When I broke in my cam, the speed shop and the cam break in directions were very specific and informative that a zink additve be used. IIRC the stuff I use is called Zdap. I have ran a bottle with every oil change. There are all kinds, they run about $9 at the speed shop.

Sorry you had to learn the hard way..................................Wait, I thought you said it was roller cam (additive not required). Or was that one a flat tappet that you replaced?
