Hey anybody own a machine shop or used  one before?
I'm just curious to know what the avg cost involved is in cleaning out a V8 block?

Say it's generally a decent looking block but has some rust from sitting around a while. What is the avg. cost involved in this process?

I think it costs about 40 bucks to have a machine shop hot tank it.

Are the machined surfaces rusty or are you talking about the oil galleys and water jackets?
