I need to replace a headlight in my '94 mazda b4000.I would like to find blueish headlights like those on the newer cars.Is this as simple as a bulb change or is there an upgrade for the headlight assembly.Any recomendations?

BTW the bulb is a 9007

b4000 is a ford ranger right?
if so if you cannot access the bulb from under the hood
look for 2 bars above the headlight assembly. you pull them out and the lens comes out to change the bulb. not sure if your truck is that way but all the larger ford trucks are. makes it a snap

Thanks, but I know how to change the lightbulb. What I was asking was what's the best kind to use.I like the "blue" ones on some of the newer cars.Do I need to upgrade the whole headlight assembly  or will the xenon 9007 bulb give me the same lighting capabilities?

The H.I.D. lights or the Blue bulbs?

HIDs require a different power system, they use a Ballast, like a Sodium arc, or Metal Halide bulb.
It used to be the install HIDs you needed a different headlight assy.  but you can find bulb change over with ballasts.  How well they work, I don't know, I don't see the need myself.

Thanks Darkhors5 I didn't know  they used a different system.I don't really know squat about them.I drive 228 miles a night on a pretty dark Interstate and was just looking for the best lights without spending a fortune.I have to do some more searching or buy a newer truck

True HID's require a conversion, however you can find blue tinted 9007 bulbs.  Not really super brighter, but just a blue tinge to give the appearance of HID.  IME, the blue bulbs may look better, but really aren't any better when driving, especially in the rain.
