Who out there rides their motorcycle daily to work?  How long is your drive?  Do you ride in all conditions or only when it's sunny and warm out?

I just moved back to VA from TX.  In TX I rode every day (7 miles) unless it was raining when I was going to leave or below 34 degrees.

Now I am commuting 42 miles each way, and have found that even below 50 degrees it's very cold.

I ride most days. I don't ride in the rain but have been caught in it. 12 miles to work.

I am in Ca so it does not get under 40 very offen. I have added heated grips and that helps.

I am up to spending $10 a week on gas to get to work.

Once the weather breaks here in New England I ride pretty much every day.  I have to dress for it as My commute is 52 miles the most direct way but but have been known to take as long as 120 miles to get home and routinely take 65. I have FIrst gear tour jacket and pants I use on the hayabusa or the goldwing. I ride these when it is colder as they both have good wind protection and heated grips. Heated grips or gloves are must have as far as I am concerend

I try to ride any day it is above freezing and dry, or above 50 regardless of weather, unless of course it's raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock

So far I've got to ride to work only once this year

It's only 10 miles round-trip, but it still saves, as my truck only gets 11mpg

back in the eighties I rode every day, rain or shine, cold or hot, on  a sport bike.  I was younger then. Now days I dont see that happen'n....

Every day. Rain or shine. About 28 miles round-trip. 5 days.
FWIW ... on the one or two mornings here in SoFla that it's 50 degrees ... there aren't many MCs on the road. You can count on that.

Stay safe

I ride 365 days a year, rain, snow, or shine.  I don't own a car.

Bout 8 miles to work. Have a windscreen and wet weather gear in saddle bags.
I can ride in the mid 50's with my rain suit on if it's not raining.
As a nurse wearing white scrubs, I di not ride as often as I'd like. Just too much trouble some days.

I'm guessing that would be on your SV650, correct?

We bought my wive a nekkid SV650 for her first bike.  It ultimately became her Supersport race bike.  I've never owned one, and I pretty much quit riding hers when we painted it hot pink.

But I have ridden in the snow on my Hayabusa- my first bike, and my first Winter riding.

In my younger days, I rode all year 'round--in NJ! Every time I bought a one year motorcycle policy (6 month policices were common due to winter weather) the agent would just laugh and shake his headd

As the weather has finally improved, I ride everyday unless I have something lined up where I need to use my truck.  I have about an 8 mile commute.  I spent $12 to fill up yesterday.  It will probably last me for another 10 days or so.

Pretty much unless it snows/theres ice out, then I take the bus. I'm only a mile or so away from campus.

As far as longer trips, I've done snow, fell down once on some ice while turning at approximately 0 MPH, and have ridden 2+ hours when it was 20F out.

I decided that I should buy a car sometime before next winter (on my 3rd bike).

i ride whenever it is feasible.

i've been working swing lately, so i can get sent to any station within oh, 100 miles or so, so there's no guarantee of where i'm going or where my bike would be parked, so for that, i generally drive.

i'm getting a permanent station starting on saturday, and you can bet i'll ride every chance i get.

Bah... I ride 26miles one way to work and school. Rode in sandstorms, rainstorms, and during cold weather.  Purchased my bike last year round this time and I have 11500 miles on her. Damn it!

Just purchase good gear that is suitable for the drive and you are good.  Planning for the weather is a bit wise.

Weather Channel is my friend when riding\

My ride is 10 miles round trip. It takes longer for the bike ot arm up then it does to get to work. Let me tell you, those pipes are loud as hell at 6am on a quiet country road.

As for weather, I will ride when its cold adnd when its reaining but try and avoid cold AND wet. Its just not any fun.

I ride as much as I can when its warm enough out.  The temps here are greatly affected by decently high winds (20-40 mph) and gusts, which can turn a 50F morning into a very cold journey.  If its over 40 or so and looks to be half way decent I ride.
