[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Headlight, dash light delay

I've got a '99 Taurus that when the lights are turned on nothing happens for a few seconds then they come on. Don't have a clue why, any ideas ?

"could" be a relay issues. good luck tracking that problem down. lol.

Thanks for the input, did some research, I'll replace the headlight relay & if that don't work I'm told there there are diodes inside the alternator that might be going out. After that it's to the shop
