The riding season will be wrapping up soon so I took the Street Twin out for rip today, as the Street Triple RS is going to get priority over the next couple of weeks. Everything about it is subpar compared to the 765 but it's still an absolute hoot to throw a leg over.

I sold my Honda dirt bike and bought this 2019 Honda CB500X a few months ago. I sold my Yamaha dirt bike in September and found this new 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 still on the floor of a dealership. Got a fantastic deal on it.

I use it as a travel / touring bike but ride almost exclusively back roads that more often than not lead to crushed rock and broken concrete. so it's a perfect "all terrain travel bike" for me. the brisket breakfast tacos were on point. |

Been battling my kz for a year. Carbs just will not stay synced. Every time I go through them it kick starts on the first try and next day it wont idle. Was really ruining Bikes for me. So I did a thing. Attached File Fuel injected, air cooled, real brakes Pretty stoked |

Don’t remember if it was to a point it was a problem or not. Did you recently put in aftermarket parts that are wearing in on their sharp points on the adjustments? I had a Bimota that did this on the idle stop and was causing the bike to stall… even in 6th gear it had enough compression to lock the tire if I pulled the clutch in a released it to get it to start again. |

It wasnt right when I was gifted the bike. I tried to fix it.. New dyna ignition, New exhuast, New wires, new intake boots carbs torn down and hot tanked and reset from scratch at least 8 times. ( I need to be clear, I spent over 20 years a professional auto mechanic, many of the cars I worked on were carbureted with multiple carbs ( 356s, 911s, 912s) Im not a newbie to carbs. This thing is just tweaky and I dont have patience for it. It can sit in the corner for a while till I get sick of riding the new one. Might be long while |

Contemplating buying this Ducati Nightshift but my main concern is if the forward leaning riding position due to the flat handlebars will make longer rides uncomfortable. Appreciate anyone’s input that rides adventure bikes or cruisers with higher bars. I’m currently riding a Triumph scrambler and it’s pretty much like riding my old BMX bike as a kid in regards to the sitting/handlebar positions. Ducati   Triumph

Either the 900 or 1200? The riding position is similar to your 400. If it were me, I would go Scrambler 1200 or 1200x if you’re on the shorter side. They’re fantastic bikes. |

I looked at both the 900 and 1200’s. The 1200 is a huge bike and a bit too tall/heavy than I’d like. It’s a gorgeous bike in the white/green scheme and I wanted it to be the winner so bad. Thought I’d go to the 900 then but just didn’t like it - mainly due to the unsymmetrical leg position on the right side due to having to get out past the exhaust pipes, which is same issue with the 1200 as well. I’ll keep the 400 X for my camping trips but want something for commutes and highway riding that can do better at 80 mph for extended rides. The 400 is at the upper rev limit trying to hold those speeds. I really like the look of the Nightshift in the dark green but there’s not a single one in my state available for a test ride. The one I found in Austin yesterday was actually the first one the dealer had seen and it was a surprise delivery. |

They’re not as good looking as that Ducati, but they are comfortable on the highway. One of my bikes is a Triumph Tiger 900. Plenty of power, extremely comfortable, and surprisingly nimble. Whatever you decide, I hope you find the right bike for you. |
