I have my motorcycle license and went for my first little ride around town yesterday :) It was fun, but I'm going to have to get my hair cut shorter so it doesn't look so crazy from the helmet! the bike did die on me for a little bit, I think one of the spark plug cables came a bit loose or had a bad connection cuz it started back up after I messed with those a little bit. I rode it to work this morning and am looking forward to running it all over town :) |
That's what year my first bike was (GS450L). It was alright, but not the most reliable. Carbs, spark plugs, etc. sucked. My roommate has it now and it is worse. I, however, have a 2004 bike now that makes me much happier. Congrats on your first bike. Have you taken an MSF course yet (I haven't, but have heard many good things)? |

I took the MSF course over the weekend and got my license yesterday. I went into the class not knowing anything really other then what I had read. (I'd never rode a motorcycle previously) I could barely make a turn during the first exercise and by the end of it I was proficient enough to pass the test with no problem :) I don't expect the bike to be problem free at this age, but It should be good to learn on. I'll get something newer in a couple of years :) |
