| Anyone have one, or have an opinion to share on the baby Hummer? Pics welcome. |

LoL..nice replies. I do like the H3 over the H2 but would never be caught dead driving either. I agree, get an H1 which isnt even remotely in the same class as the H2/3, they jus stole the name and tried to sorta kinda make it look like the H1. Get a rubicon Jeep. its the ultimate 4x4. Or look into the Toyotas, not sure if they come with lockers or not, but im sure they do now. |
You can get real lockers on the FJ Cruiser. |
The biggest flaw with the FJ is those ugly ass elephant ears tail lights. They were doin ok with the styling til they got to the taillights. We actually looked at one of them and honestly I couldnt get past the taillights. otherwise they are pretty cool. |
They are poser mobiles. Meaning ppl buy them and think they have an actual Humvee (like the military uses) only theirs are scaled down models. In reality they are jus a fancy body on a truck frame, nothing more. They are horrible off road trucks. I have yet to see any on the trails or built up in any magazines that I get. There is a video out there of an H2 goin over some very mild rocks and busting tie rods and who knows whatelse. that single video sealed the fate of the H2 as a non off road vehicle. Soccer moms and city slickers buy those things. People that want a true 4x4 dont. |

H2 stuck in a little sand Hummer humiliation There is more comparison stuff out their |
![]() Big waste of money that would only allow you to be the butt of jokes among those with "real" trucks. My '86 F-150 would give up nothing to that turd, and mine's 20 years old! The only folks that will be impressed with an H3 are elementary school kids (and only a few of them). |

We bought one as a family vehicle. We have two mustangs, a truck, and a 76 bronco. It has served us well and has been extremely reliable. The size is just right for the 3 of us. I was not thrilled about buying a 4 runner or any other vehicle in its size class and did not want to buy any of the large sport utility vehicles. My wife likes the size of it and the turning radius is excellent. Far better than I expected. The rear passenger doors open wide enough that it is easy to get the baby seat in and out of. I have pulled my enclosed motorcycle trailer with it also. No it will not pull like a dieele pickup! It does ok though. I would definately recommend it for a small family of 3 or a couple that needs something with a little room. It is a very good utilitarian vehicle. Cruizer |
may I ask why you chose an H3 over a 4Runner (have had two and the first one bought brand new made it to 303,000 miles on the same motor and tranny b4 a deer ran into it) not trying to offend you but when you compare a 4Runner to an H3 I would choose the 4Runner every time. oh well...different strokes for different folks |
[above] That has to the funniest Hummer video ever ! Humma Humma Zutt Suit

| As a owner of an H2 let me tell you that the service culture of the Hummer division of the of GM sucks. It has been an uphill battle to find an honest dealer in our area combined with the tremendous effort it takes the company to stand behind its extended warranty I would say stay as far away from Hummer products as you can |
I think he means the new GAY ones... not your old workhorse ones, which Im not a fan of Toyota.. but those old ones just keep on going. |
|
I'll be getting a H3 next year when it's avalible with the V8. Only major problem with the current H3 is the engine. The 2008 H3 will have 33" tires, 7000lb towing capacity, and V8 power. There is no other mid sized 4 door SUV that can touch it, the Durango comes close but has major issues. If Toyota still built the old 4Runner I'd buy one but the new one is like a Suburban. |
WHere did you hear that? Unless they upgrade teh Canyon/Colorados (What the H3 is built from) that aint gonna happen. |
|
I test drove the H3, It is possibly the worst riding/handling vehicle I have ever driven. The roughest noisiest engine I have heard (& Felt, It vibrates bad) in years. When I left the showroom I wondered GM really must be trying hard to go out of business, in this day & age with all the good vehicle choices available, There is no other reason to sell a vehicle this bad. Total POS. But remember "Its just my opinion" |

I was at the gas station when a jeep with personalized tags pulled up at the pump behind me. The tags read "H2 resqu" I laughed and commented on the tags. She handed me also in a jeep, a photo albumn of her rescueing her brothers H2. I bet he cringes every time she comes over in her jeep. |

I already have a 06 3/4ton Ram 4x4 w/ Cummins on 35's and all the performance upgrades, and I intend to keep it. But it sucks huge donkey balls off road. I want something that can actually fit on a trail, that's why I don't want anything fullsize. The 2008 H3 will have a V8. My brother is an engineer at GM and they've been testing them on the proving grounds. I'm open to suggestions but it seems to be the hands down winner for mid size 4door SUV. |
