Damn, this is a fine looking SUV.  I've got my civic paid off and would like something that I can pull the boat with other than my dad's 04 denali pickup...

The SS is lowered on 20's, RWD or AWD options available, and has the LS6 vette engine and brake setup with 395hp and 400lb ft of torque. Making for a 0-60 in the 5.5 second range and high 13 second 1/4 miles.  I think it can tow about 7,000lbs too.   I'm also getting a new dog which will weigh about 120-150 (shiloh shepherd) next spring and the back seat of my 2 door civic just ain't gonna cut it for him.  It'll be my garage, sunny day truck, and I'll keep the civic around for crappy weather and longer trips.

For around $35K this SS is a real looker.

The Trailblazer SS is pretty bad. Everything else in the SS family is pretty lame so far, and their so called performance trucks have lacked performance since the demise of the GMC Typhoon/Syclone.

I'm glad to see them coming around with a truck/SUV that can actually put a smile on your face when you hit the go pedal. I sure wouldn't mind having one.

My family has the regular TrailBlazer, and it can pull probably as good as the SS(it has the tow package but we haven't used it), for less money.

I don't know if you could really tow with the SS, but whatever floats your boat.

What I'm trying to say is...you should get the SS if you want, but for 27-32K you can get the regular TrailBlazer, and still get something to tow and it'll still have plenty of power.

I wish they would have come out with the TT trailblazer that they were talking about for a while. They said it was going to be the typhoon take II with a lot more power and reliability.

Yep, I remember that too. Are you saying GMC SyTy's aren't reliable?

They may not be the best choice for reliability, but I still love them.

It's the LS2 engine, not the LS6. Same engine as in the current base model Corvette.

Hopefully they do some serious work on the suspension. The current Trailblazer suspension feels very floaty to me, and has some serious body roll. Comfortable, but not great handling.

It doesn't seem floaty to me...and I ride in one every day(2005 here).

It's an SUV, if you're looking for great handling go for a Z51 Vette.

Oh and BTW, get rid of the "dubs" and the badging, and you have a real SS-A Super Sleeper!

Sure, it works well as an SUV, but give that sucker 400 hp and some spirited driving, and its WAY out of its league as far as the suspension goes.

FWIW, I drive a Lightning, and I know that you can make big heavy vehicles handle pretty well.

You're 19 and you drive a Lightning? Wow!

I graduated when I was 17 and got a job. Even pulled a few 60-70 hour weeks in AK, with $250 per diem, at union scale...
