Got the old supra straight And primered. This dude paid for 60 hours of bodywork just to have the side moldings shaved and create a more simple body line. Have to repair the bumpers still then I'll paint this one. This one should be fun to drive when done. Built 2jz motor with big turbo I think he said it's pushing over 600hp to the rear wheels.   |

I haven’t been in the auto body field since I did a career change back in 1990. I did dabble a bit when I restored my ‘66 Mustang I posted earlier though. But talking to my son the other day about the newer epoxy primers and regular primers on how fast they cure now for production speed is just mind blowing. Epoxy ready to redo at or do bodywork on in three hours. Wow. I had to wait 24 hours when I did the ‘66 and that was 7 years ago. I remember back in the day we would primer a car with lacquer primer and let it sit as long as we could for the primer to shrink. I liked to give it a weeks time back then. Sure was hard trying to tell a customer the paints drying for a week. The chemistry has really turned things around. |

I asked for my thread from GD to be moved but I will add since I am sitting out on a location waiting on a customer. 1969 mustang barn find. Just trying to take care of some rust and get it to being a functional car. On the exterior I plan on just spot treating the rust issues and prepping it for wrapping. Passenger side floorplan is approaching the right fit, still needs work then gotta pull and prep the metal under it that wont be cut off when I weld with rust converter and weld through primer.     I did consider the whole floor at once but I have no idea how to even begin approaching that as this thing isnt a body sitting on a frame. I was worried that it would turn into a taco if I chopped the entire floor so doing a single side. |

 Some shops are super shady. This is some NFL guys elenore car unlimited budget. Came here from a shop in Florida "ready to paint" They billed this guy for filler and blocking on top of the metal work as well as primer Car was in paint jail for two years so he brought it here to get painted.. Well the metal work is good and gaps all good but they didn't go beyond that. Car is wavy and warped from al the welding. So now this guy gotta pay twice so I can make it straight. Not terrible but the whole car needs a skim coat of glaze to make it show car flat. About 40 hours of work then another 40 for prime and block to get it "ready for paint. Was just bare metal under a thin coat of primer not I gotta do a bunch of filler work So that Florida shop basically stole 16k from this guy. |

This is a tiny little FWD car. 300HP is plenty enough. Maybe it's my weird monkey brain but thefe is something unmistakable about the howl of the supercharger and having stupid amounts of torque down low and midrange. K24 needs to scream to make power and this is gonna be a weekend crusier fun. |

Might not look like it, but I've made a ton of progress on my old '55 Chevy. My Uncle bought it in 1979. Parked it outside under a car cover in 1997, and gave it to me in 2020. Here it is in 1979:  And today. Ive got the chassis into excellent shape. Replacing some metal this winter.

My grandfather used it as his daily driver until he almost wrecked it in 2000. I was a senior in high school when he called me and told me to come get it. It’s basically all original minus a few odds and ends. |

Turbo 2jz swapped 87 supra finally painted. He wanted wide wheels so we had to make and mold in some fiberglass wide fender flares and mold them in. With the moulding delete we have bout 200 hours into this before paint. Lot of money dropped into an old JDM

Gutted and in bodywork. Land cruiser restoration Already painter roof and firewall. Fitting the LS swap to weld mounts before we take the body off and paint the frame. I think we might be doing some offroading upgrades to the suspension on this one too. He's got a big budget

Bought her in Nov 21 and replaced the entire suspension parts including the K-member and torque arm relocation parts and new wheels as well as other stuff. What she looked like when I bought her. Hard to tell but the chrome wheels were in bad shape.  What she looks like now.  One of the first things I did was install detroit speed engineering fender reinforcement brackets. It was a pain in the ass as the pinch welds were slightly damaged.  Helps keeps the fenders from popping out if/when a lube monkey lifts it in the wrong place.      All the old stuff  K-member and longtube headers   Used 2 spin stands to hold the engine up.  @2001WS6 |

Just picked up the bad boy for $480. It's for a 24 hours of Lemons Rally. I've posted a few of my rides for the rallies in the past. We've done I think six of them. And I have some nice stuff posted earlier in this thread. If the motor and trans are good we'll get it back on the road. They just need brakes and fuel pump, stuff like that usually.
