Anyone here own one? Its pretty much the most fun you can have for the money, according to just about every car reviewer on earth.

There is a local dealer to me that has a 2014 ST. What kind of negotiating power would have I have on a 2014 vs a 2015? Would it be worth it to buy one that has been sitting for a while?

You need to test drive it or at the very least sit in it to make sure you can deal with the interior size.  Also there is no place to keep a gun inside the vehicle except the tiny glovebox.  Is it fun?  Hell yes.  But it is too small for me to drive in everyday.

There are a ton of great fun cars out there for that price if you live in TN. You just have to look around. My friend drives one of these daily in TN and has no issues. Far from stock, but you get the idea.

I had a GLH Omni. One of the coolest cars I owned. I regret getting rid of it. You never see them any more, for that matter I've only seen one other one on the road and that was 20 years ago.

My was a GLH, the S was inner cooled. Incredibly fun car.

I am looking for a 20k, fun, economical, new car. I have a 10 year old F150 that I will keep.

Fiesta ST
Civic SI
Jetta SE 1.8T manual
Focus ST

All on my short list.

Fiesta is a SMALL car, I thought they seemed decent sized until I got one as a rental car this weekend. I think it's cramped and you know I'm a good 5-6 inches shorter than you. They are supposed to be fun, I drove it's bigger brother the Focus ST when I was car hunting last year and it was a blast but I ended up going with a WRX.

Why is the Mazda 3 not on your list?  It is the best car in its class.

The mazda 3 is on my list, but I can only afford the 2.0 engine version, and its not exactly fast.

I wouldn't exactly say that:

2.5L:

2.0L:

Not the fastest car, but not far behind the 2.5L mazda 3.

There is one more option if you are willing to consider used, a honda accord sport with the manual transmission:

There is one in Franklin:

Aside from the Mazda 3, the Civic si is your best bet for a new vehicle.

Edit, found a couple of new manual accords:

I owned one of those.  I forget what # it was.  Fast car that was good on gas, but the electrical gremlins and turbo lag were terrible.

You didn't sell it about 5 years back did you?

The lag was most likely a computer issue. Shelby didn't let you have full boost until about 2500RPM at the earliest. Honestly, with a manual boost controller or chip and a more free flowing exhaust the stock turbo will make all the boost you want sooner than you can handle it.

ETA: I see a Santa Fe Springs Blue Omni GLH almost every day. It'll be back on the road and in turbocharged form very soon.

Before you get too excited...Have you sat in one?

I'm 6 foot 2 and couldn't fit.
