| I recently had to replace my passenger side tail light housing and get a new tail light socket, now, every other day my tail light keeps falling out of the socket when i pop it into place or close my trunk. Grease or no grease, the socket wont hold. What are my options? I prefer to macguyver it to stay, instead of replacing the housing AGAIN. |

Hot glue. I had to hot glue a headlight retaining ring that cracked and would not retain the headlight any longer. Sticks really well and is not permanent in case you have to change the bulb at some point down the road. The retaining ring, is that the piece of rubber? |

I have an xterra, it seems like the bulb just pops directly into the plastic socket. There is a plastic ring on the outer rim, but does not come into contact with the bulb. The small metal pieces that the bulb is supposed to click into at yhe bottom of the socket just do not hold the bulb with enough strength. Any suggestions? Im trying hot glue but there is really just nowhere to apply it unless i cover the stem of the bulb in it and hope electricity can still get through. Replacing the bulb would also be another issue. |
