| I want to get an OBD II reader that connects via USB to the dedicated computer I have in my garage, and software to run it so I can reset trouble codes. I would strongly prefer a setup that can read and reset ABS and SRS systems. I will mainly use it on a 2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Which one and best source? |

Do you have an android phone?
If so, you can buy an OBD II bluetooth adapter from amazon for less than $20, and download an app called "Torque" for free. You can pull streaming data from the ECU while driving down the road, read and reset codes, and more. Even if you don't have an android phone, you could buy an old one for next to nothing, get on wifi and download the app, and keep it in your car solely for Torque. |

I do have an android, I'll check it out. OK, I'm looking through their website and forum, I'm not seeing if the free Torque app will read and reset ABS and SRS sensors and fault codes or not. |
| Torque, will read/reset check engine codes, but will not do anything with the ABS system. I've been using their free version, not sure if the paid version has this feature but I doubt it. I've been looking for the same thing, something that I could use on the PC that you could also use to bleed the ABS pump/ diagnose the system, and haven't found anything without spending a bunch of money. |
