Long story short had battery checked at local place and it was the wire connected to the solenoid. Wire breaks, tech tries to fix it and breaks off the copper threaded post on the solenoid. He managed to rig it up to get me going again, but now I can't seem to find just a replacement solenoid. It's a 2008 6.7L Dodge, and all I can find is complete starters not just the solenoid. Am I looking in the wrong place? Or am I stuck getting a new starter?

Would a dealership do the same thing or not?

So you actually found a solenoid to go on it? Where did you get it from?
