I'm scared of it.
Its not just because I dropped it on my leg at 15mph-ish and went through 8 months of recovery, surgery, and recovery again. (A handful of Sportster throttle at a dead stop on a unknowingly sandy road on a 150hp bike) I was aware of its ferocity before that... but the damned thing feels like its about to fall over in a curve. I am scared to death of accelerating through a curve for fear of its rear end flying out from under me. I go slower and ride more cautiously on curves that on a sportster I scrape pegs on and give it more gas. I want to learn to use it, but I don't know where to do that. I need a class that teaches me how to not fear it and make it perform within 50% of max instead of inside of 25%. In the mean time, I think I'm gonna save for a Street Glide and return from the Dark Side of The Force with a rideable bike. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
