So the window latch on the rear door of my 2004 Tundra (Access Cab) broke.  I've found a site that tells me how to replace it, but I can't seem to find the part anywhere.

This is the "vent" window that pops open with the little folding latch.

Anyone know a source?

Junkyard or dealer.

try the toyota dealer.  Mine broke on my 03 tacoma, I replaced it and never used it again in fear it'd break again.  I had to take the plastic panels from around the vent window in order to place the latch, PITA.

Dealer would be easiest, least likely to break putting it in.

When you replace it, don't take the whole panel off of the door, just peel it back around the window, and remove the latch.

We do 'em all the time at work, real easy job to do.

I happened to be researching this today and found a fix.  Both of my side window latches have gone out within the last two weeks.

Try this zip tie fix.

I found this site an hour ago while searching for info on this but i'm all out of zip ties to fix mine.

A more solid fix for the weak latches are these billet hinges.  Unfortunately they are out of stock.

I like the zip-tie repair option.  Will give it a whirl before springing for a new latch and pulling the door panel.

The zip-tie option basically sucks.  It'll keep the window shut, but doesn't allow normal operation.

Went by the dealer the other day and they want $56 for the part.

Guess I'll keep looking online.
