Just enough abrasiveness to get the rust off but not too much to f'up the rest of the chrome. cleaned the bike up a bit today... rust spotting is extensive.. I used 0000 steel wool, and in some points #1 steel wool. the chrome still has the spots of rust, so that sucker will probably need re-chroming if I ever get that far.
course I haven't tried naval jelly or anything of the sort yet. |
