http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/529_plan If you're talking about 529 savings plans (as opposed to 529 prepaid tuition plans), use the one your state offers IF they give you a tax deduction for your contributions. Otherwise, pick a plan from a state that offers the lowest expenses. The plans from Utah, Ohio, and Illinois get mentioned a lot as having low expense ratios. Good luck. |
