What affordable software package do you guys recommend to take care of a checkbook, budget, bill tracking/reminders, etc.

Quicken is the most popular BUT it such a resource whore.

Another vote for quicken. I am a Mac guy and I have a windows emulator on my machine so I can run quicken.

I use Quickbooks, similar to Quiken.

I think Quicken would be your best bet.

Personally, I use Quickbooks, but I use it professionally and used it for many years.
If you need something to use just for personal finances, Quicken should be plentiful.

I use quickbooks as well for my business. Quicken is much better and simpler for personal stuff.

Quicken Home & Business here. I've used it for years and love it.
