So I opened up a Roth IRA, looking for a place to park my cash and get some growth, but not looking for something to crazy or to stagnant either. So mutual funds seem like the way to go. My father even gave me a great tool, the "Steele Mutual Fund Expert" software which tracks 25K mutual funds. The problem is I have no idea WTF I'm looking at. Most of the terms and lingo fly way over my head. He gave me a great over the phone tutorial on using the software, but the terms and markets involved are way past my limited knowledge of reading "Reminisences of a Stock Operator" and watching a few episodes of Jim Kramer.
Can anyone please help a newb out? |

Look for low cost indexed mutual funds and you will do better than 99% of actively managed funds over your investing career. Find a strategy for balancing your portfolio and stick with it. Quoted:
