I am commissioning in May and part of my contract states that I will be receiving a bonus. I emailed my Officer Strength Manager to ensure that I was good to go for it and she replied that there were two stipulations. "That I was assigned to an MTOE unit and that I complete OBC." What exactly is an MTOE unit? I know I have alot to learn about the Army... |

Active duty / Army Reserve / or National Guard?
if you are USAR or NG then the bonus is called the "Reserve Officer Affiliation Bonus" and your unit UA or or OSM should be able to help you process that paperwork to DFAS. But yes, you need to be assigned to a drilling unit, and complete OBC first. MTOE = Modified Table of Equipment |
