I would like to send my older brother a small multi fuel stove that burns jet fuel.  He just depoyed to Iraq.  I can't afford to send him something really expensive since I already sent him with my Eotech 552 and some mags with Stainless steel anti tilt followers.  I have a MSR dragonfly international but can't really afford to send something that expensive.  If I can't find an affordable alternative, I'm planning on sending my Dragonfly.
Do any of you have experience with anything like this while deployed that can offer advice as to what I should look for?

Does he really need a stove?

I havn't got an answer from him yet.  I have been told by several people that they were glad they had one while in-country.

If it's Iraq, he's probably got access to an electric coffee pot, electric kettle, electricity and running water.
If he's out on a COP (combat outpost), he might need a stove... but only for short periods of time.

Most of the time (at a combat outpost, away from the FOB) there's a co-located Iraqi unit that has an LP gas stove for real cooking.  Those guys usually don't get MRE or heater meals, they gotta do their own cookin.

If he just wants a cup of coffee or soup (again, on a COP), I'd usually just bust up a pallet and make a small fire up against a T-barrier.

If it was the 'stan, I'd understand a stove.

Just wait till he gets over there and send him good coffee or just random shit, I can't think of any place he will go over here where he won't have power.
