There is a good story to this next one.  Guy shows up, starts being an ass in the dorm.  He slams doors, leaves lights on (big gap under the door lets a lot in when you want to sleep), blows off a captain when he's confronted, (guy in question is an E6), and is an overall douche.  Then, he leaves this letter in the bathroom.  Hijinks ensue. He gets pissed after all the other things show up and, a week or so later, photocopies of it start appearing around the base and in planes his crew is going to fly.  Heard that he blew his top a few times after I went home.  I'll still chuckle about it when I think about it.

Huge pic here

Dragging A-10's into the AOR. (Slow, looooonnnng flights)

Dented up nose on one of the hogs.  (I fucking hate refueling these things)

http://www.solfire.com/~flyingfennec/Photogeek/GoodStuff/2008/Planes/Dents.jpg

And from the other end of the boom.  A lot of the time, they try to fly into the boom instead of letting the boom operator (me) do his/her job which ends up leading to dents.

And one from 2008's deployment.  Best KC-10 picture EVAR.

Awesome pics of the A-10s! I'm a 75th A-10 Crew Chief and was on that ESTA package going over in September. We just got back the other week.
Do you remember between which stops those pictures were taken?

hit was a frequent convoy itself, or at least passing through it going towards ramadi or tq,
I always said you didn't have to see hit you could just smell it, from miles away

and congrats on your re enlistment, way to do it in style!

I'm considering it myself, a 3 year enlistment,
I'm 43 but I think i have 1 more 3 year infantry enlistment in me, not that it would put me close to retirement or anything, that would take another 14 pr so but I feel like doing it 1 more time and going to afghan while I can,
anyhow congrats!

They've really built that up in the past 6 months. I don't think the overpass was there before.
Here's our pet camel spider. Notice the dead lizards in there that it killed.

Kinda dusty at Al Assad:

The glow is a cloud of dust from a medivac chopper picking up a TCN after an IED strike going through Abu Graighb. I got a cool video shot of it taking off, too.

Me & my truck.

Me & a dump trailer that got tagged with an IED (two 120mm mortar shells) going through Hit. Nobody was hurt, but setting a cordon during morning rush hour sucked.

Tom the Pepsi drinking cat! We always looked for this goign through Abu Graighb, going to and from BIAP/Victory.

On the C-130 to Iraq.

Inside our MRAP (Truck 3)

I am so happy... With my busted ass turret.

My M240 I manned.

Before we went out on an IED call.

Yes, muh' fukas... We have "gernades".

A Dragunov, a MacGuyver rifle, and an RPG Launcher.

Other misc stuff.

Mmm hmm.

Remains of the T-1000 we encountered.

Mores.

My Marine ego. Semper.

Sunset in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

My rifle.

Happy with my pistol.

Being not amused by the sandstorm.

Goddamn fajitas night!

Don't fall asleep while smoking in the goddamn shitters.

This is me, yelling at an oreo for being delicious.

The Iraqis came over for dinner, and decided to stay for breakfast.

Iraqi humvee. You're welcome.

I found this... Aaaaaand the word is spreading. "NUTS".

Ewww pider!

One of our trucks that got hit on the ass end by an IED.

EOD doin' their thing.

Goddamn showoff. Yes, we all realize we signed up for the wrong job.

I hope you don't mind, I caught the bug to make something, a little tribute to all of you.
I did use images found here on ARFCOM, including these ones.
If you don't like it, IM me and I'll remove it ASAP.
There aren't any words they could fully express our gratitude for what you've done for us, thank you.
Godspeed.

Tribute BOB Style

As for those whose images didn't make it in, sorry, I couldn't get it to work out as hoped.
