| I'm a PL and my platoon is currently deployed to Kosovo. Got to shoot some awesome weapons while we were here- Did joint ranges with Germans, Austrians, Slovenians. Shot the Steyr Aug on full auto, as well as the FS2000 and the G36. All good fun, but definitely prefer my trusty M4. |

| Being a civvy getting to shoot cool toys while working overseas was a big highlight for me... some of the notable toys I shot on my various trips were: M134 mini-gun, M240 & MK48 w/ Ironman pack/system (500 round beltfeed ammo backpack system), Sig MPX carbine with happy switch and suppressor, AMPS 120 mm computer aimed mortar system. I came very close to getting to shoot a Carl-G but it never panned out. |

That’s one of the things I miss really bad. I’ve got to shoot everything - FAMAS, G36, C7/C8, Daewoo K2, Howa Type 89, Vz 58, the Beretta AR whatever, MG3 and 4, PKM, RPK, RP46 Degtyaryov, Aussie F88, some retro M16’s in the Philippines, and a whole fuck load of others. Good times. |
| Wasn't deployed, but I got to try out the Daewoo K1 and K2 in Korea while at their Air Force SRT school on an exchange program. The K1 was pretty cool, reminded me a bit of the OG Galil. The K2 was...meh. Loud as shit and a fair amount of recoil, guess that's to be expected from such a short gun. Vastly prefer the M4. The ROKAF guys I was with did too. |
