Amazon Prime? > Deployed!

I'll be in Kuwait soon, so am wondering if it's worth the $80.

Pro:

Amazon has been APO-friendly

CON:

$80

Anything else I should know?

Got it for the free shipping and then discovered all the free prime instant videos. Watched all the Star Gate episodes for free.

Just for the free kids shows it would be worth the 80 bucks for us. Now I don't have to buy all 10,000 Thomas the train DVDs.

Found it worthwhile in Bahrain. Nextflix and hulu didn't work without a VPN, but amazon prime videos did.

I have it. I've had it for the last 2 years. Totally worth the $80. But, then again, my family and I buy probably $5k+ annually off there

Followup:

Signed up for it when it was still $80 and am happy. The sucky part is the military postal system. I had one package that sat at the post office (not unit mail room) for almost 2 weeks before it was sent to the unit and me. And it's just across post - less than a mile.

Other than that, I'm happy - free shipping, no sales tax, decent prices. Life is good.

Anyone having issues with amazon prime sending stuff to an APO. For some reason amazon won't ship to my APO address . And I have been using prime for a year now. I was able to have stuff shipped last week. But now I can't for some reason.

they will not ship lithium ion batteries or True Lemon lemonade. Those are the only 2 things I've had issues with, otherwise they've shipped everything I've ordered.

I guess it was the brand (prana) , amazon wouldn't ship. They shipped my mountain hardwear clothes though.

Just saw this thread. I was there Dec '12 to Aug '13.Camp F**kin Buehring. Wish I could have given you a heads up on Prime. It was worth it in my opinion. But I'm sure that is a moot point now.
