The biggest take-away and advice I can give, based on my years in, is to:

watch your back,
be your own advocate
use your chain of command; give them ONE chance to fix a problem, then move up the chain.

I spoke to a a COL at Ft Bragg and they seem interested in someone with my skills willing to deploy at any time. When I get back in January I'm going to request to be stationed at Bragg. I'm also looking into Benning.
