that is all Well put that is the last victory of the year for them. maybe, maybe not. Even if they lose... they still did better than anyone predicted this season. They've had a heck of a season. If anyone had told me this time last year they would go undefeated including the awwwburn game id have told them to step away from the crack pipe. |

Good win by you guys; I know it's been awhile. We have a mixed SEC family (missus is UK and UT grad, I'm AU and UT grad), and the rest of my immediate family are Bama fans. You guys do have the interesting cycles of hiring scumbags, going on probation, then hiring class acts as coaches to avoid the death penalty. If you still had Stallings, Curry, or Shula, there would be no question for whom I'd be pulling for in Atlanta (I'm a bona fide Gator Hater.) 9.5 point dogs? I think you gents will cover that.
The coaching business is brutal, as major boosters are often megalomaniacs. It'd be nice if we could have the old loyalty/family feeling with our programs, but those days are over. Enjoy the moment, for Saban will last for about three or four more years, and it's probation again. I wish Coach Tuberville the best, and if AU hires that scumbag Petrino, I won't even watch. UT's hire of Kiffin was a smart move, so look for them to step up a few notches. |

Sad but true.......But if Saban can put us back in the spotlight like we use to be then he can do what he wants. I dont expect him to stay more than 5 years. Once you do this well your second year, you raise the bar incredibly high. I dont care how good you are, your not going to be NC's every year. I would rather someone who was loyal to the program like Fulmer was to UT. But lets go ahead and let Saban possibly get us a NC and then he can do what ever he wants! |
