HaHa! |
I ALMOST went to Phoenix to watch game 7, Suns vs. Clippers. I'm SO glad I couldn't get a flight out when I needed to... Watching in Vegas was bad enough. AZ spanked LA, and I think everybody else there was from AZ. |
Yeah, yeah...it was...IF you're a Suns fan!
|
As I said, I don't really follow sports, but my 94 year old grandfather is a freak for The Suns and The Diamondbacks. We had been out fishing for trout and he made sure we left in time to get home so he could watch the game. I was happy spend the time watching with him, and I'll admit, I did like the way it turned out. Oh, the best present I got for my 42nd birthday (Last year) was being able to take my Grampa to watch the D-backs whoop S.F. |
Well, I am such a non fan of basketball, that your grandfather having a stake here, makes me glad the Suns won. Oh... And I'm happy when ANY team beats the frigging Giants! A's too. LMAO!! |

The same way Dwayne Wade had more free throw attempts than the entire Dallas Mavericks team. Stern knows he cant hurt Mark Cubans wallet, when he/NBA get called on stupid shit, so he will hurt the team just to get back at him. Watch his face erupt into a smile everytime a a foul is called on the Mavs. The 2-3-2 series is a crock. Nobody noticed, but Gary Payton foot was on the line when he shot that "3" in the fourth. The last play of the game, was not a foul. |
Not by anyone. If thats a foul, why wasnt Wade or Walker called on a foul at the end of regulation when they both hit Jason Terry's arm? The Mavs are fighting an uphill battle. Even on our homecourt, the majority of fouls will be going against us. Still, home court advantage is not an acceptable reason for Wade to have the same amount of freethrow attempts as the entire Dallas Mavericks team. That is unacceptable and shows a clear cut bias. And if you think I'm being bias, why does Tim Duncan and Steve Nash both agree? |
| I dont care for Miami, mainly due to the fact that Shaq is on the team. He's a good guy and does great things for charity and whatnot, but I cant stand how he personifies himself as the greatest thing to ever hit basketball, and how he tends to talk about himself in 3rd person sometimes. I really dont think its a matter of how "good" he is, I think it has to do w/ how big he is....anyone his size could get under the basket, knock everyone outa the way and make a layup, and thats exactly what he does....That being said, I GUESS I'd like Dallas to win, but I find it hard to cheer for them as well because they beat out the Spurs. (shrug) |
I feel the same way. Watching this though, how many owners/players will be seeing what the league is doing? I wonder if their might be a strike in the near future. I would love to see Cuban bitch smack Stern... |
|
I believe the game could go either way. However, one thing I would be very willing to wager is that the game will NOT end in a blow out in favor of the Heat. The Mavs might win by 20 - but the Heat definitely won't. The Heat might win - but they won't smoke the Mavs - no way. |
|
The Mavs are playing against the league. Stern hates Cuban and I think they will make sure somehow that Miami wins game 6. That last foul was complete b.s. And, I've gotten so tired of the announcers acting like they are in love with Wade I am really starting to despise him. I hope Dallas can win game 6 and 7, but face it, they are not a coast team and the league wants a coast team to win, not a team in the center of the country. Besides, Dallas doesn't have a bunch of *sshole fair weather celebrities flocking to see them. I'm afraid the Mavs have no chance now, but I hope I'm wrong. |

As of the 3rd Quarter: Dwayne Wade: 12 Free Throw Attemtps Dallas Mavericks: 12 Free Throw Attempts The NBA is doing its damndest to see that we will not win this series. I cant believe that the "profesionals" running the league are allowing personal hatred of one man to taint 6 NBA games, much less finals. They should hang their heads in shame. |
Or the grab on the last play but not foul called. The HEAT is NBA's poster child. Every commercial on tonight, and throughout the series is about how the HEAT are "community minded" or whatever bullshit they are propogating. Cuban and the MAVS do just as much (if not more) charitable functions but aren't advertised. The NBA had it out for the MAVS and there was no way they were gonna win. Bullshit calls in 3, 4, and 5. |
I was doing some razzing with the FL crew when the Heat were playing the Chicago Bulls(I'm from Chicago) and M4 said if the Bulls pull it off, I'll switch allegiances. I said I'd do the same if the Heat pulled it off. |
