On many sites the text is messed up when I view the site with Firefox on Ubuntu.  For instance, here on Arfcom the first line of each post is indented about 4 inches, but the rest of the post is ok.  Same thing for the next post, and so forth.  Anyone have a solution?

Versions of each? I'm using 9.10 with FF 3.5 and don't have any issues.

9.10 and 3.5.7.

If I disable default FF CSS via the Web Developer toolbar it fixes alot of things.  However, that's not ideal.

Interesting. Exact same versions here and not a single problem.

Anyone else have issues with youtube being 'jerky' when viewing in Firefox from Ubuntu?

Try View > Zoom > Reset

Before I realized what the issue probably was, I wrote this to help diagnose it. If resetting the zoom fixes your problem, don't bother with this:

Here's a quick way to determine if it's your settings or not. First make sure that Firefox is closed. Next, open your home folder and set it so you can view hidden files (short cut is ctrl + h). Now open the '.mozilla' folder. Rename the 'firefox' folder to 'firefox.bak'

Now open Firefox, it will be as if you've run it for the first time, no bookmarks, etc. See if the same display issue is still there. If it is, then your Firefox settings are probably ok and it's related to something else. If everything displays fine, we need to restore your settings and figure out what broke.

To put everything back to normal, close Firefox, delete the new Firefox directory that was created and rename 'firefox.bak' back to 'firefox'.

No youtube problems here, either.
